Scores of journalists and media workers were briefly detained Tuesday and Wednesday [September 10 and 11, 2014] in India's newly carved state of Telangana after protesting the blocking of two local TV news channels, according to news reports. 22/02/2012By: IFJ  Chandrika Rai, 43, a freelance journalist who was published frequently in newspapers in the state capital of Bhopal, was found dead at his home on the evening of Saturday, February 18.
